Sandero, Jazz and Splash coming

Demands of the hatch segment in India is flying and car companies are throwing away cars into the showrooms and many are still making steps to bring in carefully. The growing middle class is demanding for better technology, as well as college students are demanding more style with performance, and some of the car that might be making it's way to India is the Renault Sandero, Honda Fit and the Suzuki Splash

Renault Sandero

Renault has been in the Indian markets for a mere 2-3 months, but they have the selling going great and its a sedan, if they can do it with the sedan, why not a hatch? Renault has the ability to create a car at a very low cost, and another one of them is the Sandero, that is the Logan's hatch. Its got everything from outside it needs, style, quality and identity as well as inside space, comfort and clean. But whats under the hood, is a diesel and 2 petrol engines - 1.0L petrol and 1.6L petrol and 1.5L Diesel engine. More engines might be developed when entering India.

The Sandero is 4.02m long and has storage area of 320Liters, that puts it in the Fusion category. But the pricing will be low, and might fall into the Swift, Getz category and depending on the engines. First sight of this car can never tell that this is a Renault. The Sandero stands separate and gives itself and identity.

Honda Fit/Jazz

Now this is a car that people will buy even if its 1 lakh above the rest of the cars in the same category. The Honda Fit/Jazz recently got a change and its still to reveal to the world officially. This car is said to be the hatch of the bigger boy the Honda City. The City was the cheapest of the Honda's about more that 7L,and now they plan to bring in the New Fit/Jazz and the new 2009 Honda City, but that's a long way from now. This car will be priced above the Swift segment and into the Fusion and the upcoming Skoda Fabia.
The engines are all petrol and they are - 1.3L. 1.5L i-VTEC and 1.2L. This car is nothing like the city, but way better and better quality with loads of space and also a massive 400 liter boot. The specs sounds like a flat sedan. From the side it looks like a Merc and that's a positive mark, though if you go back a little, its completely Honda. Its damn sleeky and down to earth. Its 3900mm long and 1695 wide. This car is said to be really spacious and comfortable. Its quality, and we will like it. I like it.

Suzuki Splash

It was Suzuki who started the rule in India with the 800, then alto, zen, WagonR, esteem, Baleno and then the Grand Vitara. They got Alto, Wagon R and esteem refreshed, bought the Swift, replaced the Baleno with SX4 and zen with zen estilo and improved the Vitara and is now planning to change the whole set as they like to be in the top. The Splash shown in the Frankfurt motor show, will be replacing the WagonR and think they will be keeping the name "Splash".

The splash's design is splashed with different Suzuki cars, like the Swift and SX4 and some of its own. The front, door and windows are from the Swift and it looks younger than it and the rear is unique and of its own. The interiors are ideas from the SX4. This might be a good idea, since the cute Spark is covering the WagonR's aggression. A 1000cc engine that produces a 65bhp and a 1200cc with 86bhp will be produced are the 2 petrol engines. The 1200cc engine is a doubt as it can rival its own Swift and they wouldn't like the chance. But a Common-rail diesel engine will be put in.
Worth the watch

Some of the cars that are worth the look are - Mazda 2 which is still an expectation and Toyota Yaris which might be coming to India.
