Bajaj XCD 125

One of the most successful bike manufacturers to create hype in peoples head was Bajaj and has yet made another one crouching over the country and is spoken in almost all the automobile freaks. The Bajaj XCD 125 is pronounced "exceed" is all set to bring out some sales, or should i say boost up the sales, as i have already seen a lot of XCD's going down the road.

Bajaj had tried everything, from the new engines to stylish styling to keep the people looking at 100cc segment drooling to get to the 125cc segment. The sales are going well already and lets wait a little bit to see how its keeps up. They have also tried to keep the cost as low as possible. The main aim was to create a bike that was affordable that has a 150cc features and styling with a mileage of 100cc bike and the performance of the 125cc.

The futuristic look is better than the discover, and i can say that as i didn't like the look of the discover personally. The head is positioned low and has a lion hunting profile and the lamp is and going down like the P200's caps and fuel tank, all in all its a baby pulsar look and a little bit of the platina here and there. The most impressive part is the back which is like one of the bigger Honda sports bikes. The graphics are not dirty and they have kept it brilliantly. The black alloys and engines are the latest trends of sports bikes and this one has a matching silencer

Bajaj XCD seems like a bunch of Bajaj Bikes thrown in and the look is not fresh but its still good compared to the discover. The LED tail lamps is the first in class and i bet after seeing this bike all the 125cc bikes will come with LED's, the ones in XCD is impressive and adds extra styling to the bikes but has advantage also like power consumption is less and longer life than normal bulbs.

Self start and Digi-speedo is becoming popular and that can be seen in the Pulsar and Apache RTR160 and now even the XCD 125 has them, and this might be a silly reason to build up sales. The bike has a feature called folding number plate, what it does is when the bike falls on a bump, the number plate moves up front and comes back after out of the bump. But the one that caused a bit of problem to the XCD was the TVS Flame and everybody needs a topic and they are eagerly waiting - "XCD versus Flame" that's what they want. What the Flame has is an all new Style that the XCD lacks, but the headlight in the Flame was a bit disappointing.

Bajaj has provided the XCD with the new DTS-SI (Digital Twin Spark Plug - Swirl Induction) engine and produces 9.53PS and torque of 10.85Nm. Bajaj has the XCD delivering 109Kmpl under test conditions that makes it the country's most fuel efficient bike.

The XCD is Expected to be priced as low as 41000-42000(Ex-showroom) which throws itself into the 100cc category. So they give a chance to look at the Splendor again and HH should do something about it.
