Delhi Auto Expo 2008

The 8th Auto Expo will be held in our very own country Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. People all over India especially Delhi are eagerly awaiting for this Auto Expo. This event will last for 7 days from 10-17 of January 2008, which will be organized by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, Confederation of Indian Industry and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

The 2008 Auto Expo is expected to be one of the largest shows in the Country, where 1 million visitors are expected in 7 days. Many manufacturers are expected to show their full potential in this Auto Expo where Tata is the main one, which is about to unveil their one lakh car, and Yamaha to showcase their sports models.

Lets see the expectations of some car manufacturers:

Hyundai Motors:

Hyundai had recently launched the 'i10' which got a terrific response and this time they might showcase the 'i30' and advertise the i10, and they have plans to introduce the whole i series in India in the future, in which, the i10 and i30 were the only complete ones, or they might even bring on the Santa Fe.

Maruti Suzuki:

People had their mouth open when they saw the concepts that they made and showcased, the Kizashi and Kizashi 2. It is said that they will be showcasing an all new model that will debut in India, and also the Swift Sedan, which will the replacing the Esteem. They might also show the Splash, which is said to be replacing the WagonR.

General Motors:

GM had recently shown the new Aveo hatch, and is likely to be shown in India, including the beat concept, and the much awaited Chevrolet Captiva will be released.

Tata Motors:

Tata motors will be unleashing the much hyped and much awaited car in the history of awaitment, the one lakh car. Tata is launching 8 new range of products. We can expect the new Sumo, and the TL sprint, the shrunk indigo , the next gen indigo, the Indica V3 and the Indica hybrid and electric.

Others:

Skoda will be launching its hatchback Fabia in this Auto Expo and Bajaj with Renault is planning on a stall for its one lakh car rival concept.

Suzuki Bikes: Suzuki bikes will showcase its talent in the Indian market for the future with concepts and performance bikes. They might reveal their 125-175cc category.

Yamaha & Honda: Yamaha will also bring out their sporty bikes above 8 lakhs, like the Yamaha R1, and Honda with their CBR1000
