Honda has unveiled its latest gearless scooter in the Auto Expo 2008 held in Delhi after the huge success of the Honda Activa. This bike is to make its official launch in the market by the month of March. This might be taken as another step to keep the brand fresh in the market.
The Honda Aviator will join the other gearless bikes - Dio and Activa soon. The Aviator has the same engine as the Activa, where the change is only the looks, and the improvement of materials used in the bike. Its like an Activa with better style and now with 5 colours. It is said to have a bigger storage space under the seat and is priced at Rs 39675.
The Honda Aviator will have a few extra stuff like alloy wheels and disc brakes as options and bigger wheels. Honda believed that they could sell one lakh of the Aviator. If it has what it takes to give people, then i say its a flop! because in the pictures the Aviator does not look that awesome.
Its a Honda they are meant to have awesome bikes.. what happen to them, they are loosing a little grip in the segment. They should have made a bike that is damn competitive to the Bajaj Blade DTSi. If you look at it in a decent way its a good one, but when you look at it in a way of showing off, this is not the choice.

Hey! Thanks for the pic credit.
The price listed is mistyped, methinks. Rs 39675, no?
happy to give it to you.. :D and thanks for pointing out the mistake.. appreciate that :D
Thanks for the pics. Now one can get a pretty good idea of its looks. Appears more like the old Hero Winner.
I think Honda overslept on the success of the Activa, and now has suddenly woken up with a knee-jerk response. Probably the factory labour strike has taken its toll. The Access definetely has better looks, feel and mileage.
Only time will tell. If this is able to deliver on the mileage front, all will be forgotten. Otherwise too late the Hero.
Design sucks. Whoever came up with that taillight assembly? One good idea: oversize wheels. Should be future for scooters. But engine is too small too. Try driving up a hill with two people.
