TVS Auto King

In Chennai, Sunday, the 9th of March, TVS launched its first 3-wheeler named the The King, which was launched in a function by Tamil Nadu's Minister of Rural Development and Local Administration M.K Stalin. Earlier TVS had showcased a concept of an Auto which was completely modern and didn't even looked like an auto, and the real Auto they have launched looks little similar to the Bajaj.

The TVS King is powered by a 200cc engine and will be available in 3 variants - the Petrol, LPG and CNG. The company claims the King to deliver 30kmpl in city. The LPG and Petrol will be available but the CNG will be available only by June or July. TVS is also planning on a diesel engined commercial 3-wheeler maybe next year.

TVS has also created a factory for the 3-wheelers at Hosur with volume of 1 lakh units. The launch will be covered slowly in different places starting from the south and will cover the whole of India by December 08. The price is said to be between Rs 90,000 to 1.3L.

The King offers many features that the Bajaj doesn't have like dual headlights, bottle and magazine holders. giving the driver as well as the passengers more comfort. The company feels that it will have 30% hold in the market.
